     ·     Cousin, Meghan McCarthy, played lacrosse at Louisville
     ·     Multiple other cousins played sports collegiately
     ·     Intends on majoring medical diagnostics with a concentration on pre-physicians assistant
     ·     Aspires to become a physicians assistant
     ·     Legally changed name to Mercedes in honor of her grandmother who came to America from Newfoundland, Canada to dance at NYU at a time when it was uncommon for women to go to college (she was born in 1917). She inspires Mercy to reach outside the norms of society and try to make a better version of herself
