One of the most illustrious players in program history, Caitlin McCartney never left the Blue Hens sidelines as she transitioned from student-athlete to volunteer assistant coach following her graduation in May 2015.

“It is always exciting to have student-athletes choose to pursue the coaching profession,” stated head coach Kateri Linville.  “I am thrilled to have a tradition where our student-athletes and leaders choose to start their careers here with us.  Caitlin loved wearing the Delaware uniform as a player and is now excited to share her passion for UD and the game as a coach.  We have a talented group of returners Caitlin will enjoy working with and I know that they will be equally thrilled to learn from her in her new role.”
