Allison Daley (Canisius ’11 ’13) joined the Blue Hens in December 2016 as an assistant coach.

An IWLCA Regional All-American, MAAC Defensive Player of the Year and three-time All-MAAC goalie at Canisius from 2008-11, Daley spent the past three seasons as an assistant coach and the director of recruiting at Binghamton University, where she mentored 11 All-Conference honorees.  She also held a major role in leading the Bearcats to the program’s lowest goals against average in 2016 while Rebecca Golderman became the program’s first-ever America East Rookie of the Year this past spring.

Prior to her time at Binghamton, the Peterborough, Ontario native played a key role as defense coach and recruiting coordinator at Canisius. She helped build a Griffs program that won back-to-back MAAC titles and advanced to the NCAA tournament in each of her years. Daley recruited and coached the 2012 MAAC Defensive Player of the Year and in two seasons, coached seven all-conference players.

Daley was an elite goaltender and team captain who enjoyed a decorated playing career. She was a member of Canada’s U19 National Team before embarking on a successful four-year undergraduate career at Canisius. She was the MAAC Defensive Player of the Year in 2010 and earned MAAC Tournament MVP honors after leading the Griffs to their first-ever conference title in 2011. She was a three-time All-MAAC selection and became the program’s first-ever IWLCA all-region pick as a senior. Daley twice earned all-championship team honors and graduated holding school records for career saves (662) and goals against average (11.66).

She was Canisius’ Woman of the Year nominee and was a finalist for MAAC Female Student-Athlete of the Year in 2011.

Off the field, Daley served as president of SAAC and was an active member of both the school’s Intercollegiate Athletics Board and Student Senate.

She has co-directed lacrosse camps at Canisius and has served as an instructor at Syracuse University lacrosse camps as well as Buffalo-area high schools.

Daley received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Canisius in 2011 and went on to receive her master’s degree in sport administration in 2013.
