As an official affiliate, UD CROSSFIT will provide a unique workout experience for participant's of all fitness levels. Classes include movements that are functional, safe and adaptable for all. Each class is one hour, no two days are the same and results are dramatic. 

UD CROSSFIT aims to build an inclusive fitness community that pushes each and every participant to reach their full potential in the gym. All workouts are scalable and classes tailored to beginner, experienced, and elite athletes will be offered to accomodate participants of all fitness levels. Our certified CrossFit coaches will provide expert insight and support so participants can continue to hit new PR's and maximize their results. The camaraderie and support found in CrossFit is unlike any other fitness program, and is a big part of what makes it so rewarding. Expect to be motivated with high fives and chants of encouragement from the group, while also being held accountable to keep coming back for more.

MEET THE COACHING TEAM

 

HEAD COACH: JESSE JUDY 

Jesse brings over 15 years of experience as a strength and conditioning coach at the collegiate level to the UD CROSSFIT program as head coach. He is a nationally certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, certified club coach with USA Weightlifting and CrossFit Level 1 trainer.  

Jesse graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Exercise Science and concentration in Strength and Conditioning. He then went on to earn his masters degree in Sports Medicine from the University of Oregon. Jesse and his wife, Senior Associate Athletic Director for the Blue Hens Jenn Judy, have two children, Katelyn and Jackson.

MEMBERSHIP INFO

UD students, employees and other members with access to the Lil Bob can puchase one of the membership options listed below. If the coach feels the participant is not in a class that matches their ability, they will be moved to the appropriate level to ensure they get the necessary instruction and training.

  • Employess - Wellness Dollars can be applied towards Recreation's fitness services through Healthy-U or at the Lil Bob cashier's window. Please allow up to 3 days for processing before your membership is activated. 

  

 

BASICS PROGRAM

This gives the participant access to ONLY Basics classes and is for those that do not have experience with CrossFit and/or do not know how to properly execute Olympic lifts. Participants must complete at least 10 basics classes before moving into a WOD class. Progression to a WOD class be slower or faster based on the coach's discretion. Participants will be able to purchase the standard half semester membership for the second half of the semester if they wish to continue their training.

This gives the participant access to all WOD and Competitive classes. This is for participants that have experience with CrossFit and/or can properly execute the movements below:

CLASS SIGN UP

SIGN UP FOR A CLASS 

Participants must register for the class they want to attend prior to arriving online. Registration opens 24 hours before the class starts.

 

CANCELATION POLICY

If you are no longer able to take this class, you may cancel your reserved spot six hours before the start of class and up to one minute before the class start time. If you reserve a spot, do not cancel, and do not attend a class more than three times, your ability to register for classes will be suspended until you meet with our Fitness Coordinator. All sales are final and NO REFUNDS will be issued.

How to Cancel Your Reservation:

  3. Click "Programs" from the list on the left of the page
  4. Click "Cancel" for the class reservation you no longer want to attend

BASICS 

This class is for participants that are new to CrossFit and want to learn the fundamental movements needed to advance their training. Participants will commit to attending 10 Basics classes over six weeks. The classes will be kept small to ensure participants get the attention needed to learn the technical aspects of the fundamental CrossFit movements.   

 

WOD 

WOD (workout of the day) classes are geared towards participants that have experience with CrossFit and/or a basic understanding of the movements and terminology. Workouts are universally scalable to accommodate participants of all fitness levels.
