NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware men’s basketball team’s highly-anticipated home game against Notre Dame on Saturday, December 9 will begin at 7 p.m. and be televised nationally by CBS Sports Network.

Delaware will welcome back Fighting Irish head coach Mike Brey, who guided the Blue Hens for five seasons from 1995-2000 and led UD to a pair of America East Conference titles and NCAA Tournament appearances in 1998 and 1999. The Blue Hens will be hosting their second ACC opponent in the 26-year history of the Bob Carpenter Center, and the first since Virginia visited Newark in 1997.

Brey will be facing his former assistant and current Blue Hen head coach Martin Ingelsby, who played his final season under Brey for the Irish in 2000-01 and spent 13 seasons on the Notre Dame sideline before arriving at UD in May, 2016.

Purchasing season tickets is currently the only way for Blue Hen fans to guarantee tickets for the Notre Dame game. Season tickets are on sale now by clicking here.

Season ticket holders from last season have renewed at 98%, and UD has also sold 383 new season tickets to date. Current season ticket holders also had the option to add up to four additional tickets for the ND game; 528 tickets were sold during the ordering period.

Delaware’s full basketball television package is expected to be announced later this month.
