HEN SCRATCHINGS  🐔
• Delaware closes out its non-conference schedule today against Cornell.
• With a win, the Blue Hens would post consecutive non-conference winning records for the first time since 2002-03 and 2003-04. (Delaware finished 7-6 in non-league play a year ago.)
• Cornell has won two of the previous three meetings between the schools, although the Blue Hens took the last matchup, 74-62, on Nov. 22, 2011 at the Bob Carpenter Center.
• Delaware is looking for its third consecutive victory after recording a 76-62 triumph over CSU Bakersfield on Dec. 20. A win today would even the Blue Hens’ home record at 3-3.
Kevin Anderson scored a team-high 22 points against the Roadrunners, and earned his second straight CAA Rookie of the Week award on Tuesday. Anderson went 7 of 11 from the field including four three-pointers, and added six rebounds.
Ryan Daly contributed 20 points, nine rebounds and five assists, reaching the 20-point mark for the fifth time this season and scoring in double figures for the 10th game in a row.
Eric Carter posted his third double-double of the season with 15 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.
• The Blue Hens recorded a 39-24 rebounding advantage, their second highest margin of the season.
• Delaware opens CAA play on Saturday with a 7 p.m. game at two-time defending league champion UNCW.
