HEN SCRATCHINGS  🐔
• Delaware opens up its Colonial Athletic Association schedule Saturday against UNCW. The Blue Hens are looking to snap a three-game losing streak in CAA openers. This year marks the first time UD has opened CAA play against the Seahawks.
• UNCW leads the all-time series with the Blue Hens, 22-11, and the Seahawks have won the last five meetings, all by at least nine points. Last year UNCW won all three matchups, including a 91-82 triumph in the CAA Tournament Quarterfinals.
• The Seahawks are 11-3 against Delaware in Trask Coliseum, including three straight wins.
• Delaware has won three consecutive games, matching the longest win streak under head coach Martin Ingelsby. The Blue Hens are looking for their first four-game winning streak since winning five straight from Feb. 26 through Mar. 10, 2014, culminating in the CAA title.
• Delaware finished 7-6 in its non-conference schedule for the second consecutive year, marking the first time UD has posted back to back winning non-league marks since 2002-03 and 2003-04.
• The Blue Hens trailed Cornell by nine points with four minutes left in regulation before rallying back to post a 97-96 overtime win over the Big Red on Thursday.
Ryan Allen led Delaware with a season-high 24 points and knocked down six three-pointers.
Ryan Daly added 19 points, reaching double figures for the 11th straight game, and hit a jumper with 16 seconds left in regulation to force overtime.
Kevin Anderson, who has earned two straight CAA Rookie of the Week honors, missed the game with a left knee injury and is questionable for Saturday’s game.
