Will once again fight for significant playing time at the midfield position • third-year member of the squad after transfer from the University of Cape Coast • has played in 21 career games at Delaware.

2014 SEASON (GAME BY GAME)

2014 SEASON
Played in 17 games and started in 16 of them tallied a career-high five goals, which was third on the team  tied for the team lead with six assists on the season fourth on the team with 22 shots registered a season-high three points with one goal and one assist in Delaware's 4-1 victory over Drexel had a season-high three shots in UD's 2-1 win over Hofstra and in Delaware's 2-1 defeat to Stanford part of team that won the CAA regular season title for the first time in program history.

2013 SEASON
Saw action in nine games with two starts as a sophomore • missed the first half of the season due to injury • started in a regular season loss to Drexel and in a win over Howard • tallied 13 shots on the season (season-high four vs. Howard) and scored his first career goal at Hofstra on Nov. 3 • earned team's UD Sportsmanship Award •
part of team that set a school record for wins in a season (14-5-1) and made its second trip to the NCAA Tournament in three years for head coach Ian Hennessy.

2012 SEASON
Played in 12 games while receiving the starting nod on nine occasions • came on near mid-season and saw action in nine of Delaware’s 10 CAA contests • tallied 11 shots, three on goal • registered a single-game best two shots against four separate opponents • team went 4-11-3 under Hennessy, losing five games by a single goal.

Played on men's soccer team for two seasons from 2010-12 • school located in Ghana.

Benjamin "Ben" Asante ("ah-san-tay")  • son of Desmond Asante • born Mar. 3, 1992 • economics major at Delaware • selected Delaware because of its academic and athletic excellence • began playing soccer at age five • considers father and high school coach, Henry Osei, as his biggest influences • has an older sister, Faustina, and younger brother, Daniel • enjoys reading scripture and listening to gospel music in addition to watching soccer on television • worked at Delaware Soccer Camp this past summer.
