AT DELAWARE
Second-year member of the squad • talented goalkeeper with great development potential to compete for the starting goalie position • displays the qualities a goalkeeper must have in order to be a good performer and provide organization and structure in the defensive 25.

2014 SEASON
Appeared in six games while starting three for the CAA Champion and NCAA Tournament participant Blue Hens • saw first career minutes against Richmond (Sept. 5) before making first career start vs. Fairfield (Sept. 28) • finished year 3-0-0 with 10 saves and 2.50 goals allowed with nearly 253 minutes played • named the CAA Rookie of the Week on Oct. 7 after guiding UD to a 2-0 start in league play, including an exciting 6-5 double overtime victory at James Madison (Oct. 3) • faced 33 total shots • CAA All-Academic Team selection.

2013 SEASON
Did not compete and retained freshman eligibility • NFHCA National Academic Squad • NFHCA Division I Scholar of Distinction.

HIGH SCHOOL
Completed a save percentage of .810 with a 13-9 record as a senior under head coach Jennifer Sponzo at Hunterdon Central Regional High School • also collected six shutouts as a senior • earned Team Most Valuable Defensive Player, Most Valuable Athlete, Student-Athlete, Varsity Team Academic Achievement, All-Group IV Third Team, All-West Jersey Second Team and All-Conference Second Team honors in 2012 • named the Skyland Conference Scholar Athlete of the Year • Zuegner Memorial Most Valuable Athlete • selected to compete in the Senior All-Star Game • helped lead HCRHS to the New Jersey Group IV Section North II Sectional Championship in 2011 • tallied a 14-10 record with seven shutouts and a .750 save percentage as a junior to be named Team Most Valuable Player, Honorable Mention All-Conference and All-West Jersey Third Team • exceled academically as a member of the National Honors Society, Mu Alpha Theta Math Honors Society, Science Honors Society and French Honors Society in addition to being named to the HCRHS Principal’s Honor Roll • Girl Scout Gold Awardee.

Frances “Fran” Ada Orella (o—REL—ia) • born November 29, 1994 in Flemington, N.J. • daughter of Annette and Chuck Orella • comes from a University of Delaware legacy family as both parents graduated from UD and older brother, Mike, is a senior majoring in Chemical Engineering • grandfather, Richard Murray, was also a physics professor, graduate office dean and Provost at Delaware • majoring in Mechanical Engineering and would like to work in the area of renewable energy upon graduation • enjoys volunteer work and competing in triathlons • favorite sports teams include the San Francisco 49ers and New Jersey Devils • chose UD because of its outstanding academics and family history.
