Alex Zaugra returned to her alma mater in February 2016 as the team's director of operations. Within her new position, Zaugra is responsible for game day and film operations.
In addition to her time as a student-athlete, Zaugra interned with both the UD Athletics Operations and Strength and Conditioning departments. She also dedicated her time to the community and volunteered with A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children, Alzheimer's Association, The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation, breast cancer research, Delaware Humane Society, Evansfest, HEADstrong, One Love Foundation, Relay for Life, Robert Packard ALS research, Special Olympics, UDance, Love the Game Around the World and US Military Stocking Stuffers.
Four-time letterwinner that graduated from the University of Delaware in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in health behavior science • finished career second in program history with 9.18 goals allowed, fifth with 2856 minutes played and ninth with 298 total saves • has gained annual recognition at the national level statistically • was one of two Shawnee products on the squad, along with classmate Kierstan Smith.

Alexandria "Alex" Nicole Zaugra ("zaw-gruh") • born August 8, 1993 • daughter of Joseph and Denise Zaugra • has one younger sister, Gabrielle • studying health behavioral science with a minor in strength and conditioning at Delaware and aspires to become a personal trainer • chose Delaware because of the academics, athletics, location, and coaching staff • began playing lacrosse in the fourth grade • loves music, trying new things, quotes and hanging out with family and friends • spent summer working in patient services at Medford Leas Nursing Home.
