The University of Delaware Cycling Club is in place for the simple purpose of developing riders and growing the sport of cycling. All levels of commitment and competition are available within the club. Both men and women may join. the team's regional affiliation is with the Eastern Collegiate Cycling Conference, and their regional affiliation is with USA Cycling.
- Members are required to have a racing bicycle in good working order, proper attire for training, a UD CyclingClub jersey, and a helmet.
- Recruiting meetings take place throughout the fall semester. While there are no official recruitment meetings during the spring, all interested people are welcome to join the team during the spring racing season.
- The club does not hold regular "practices" because of participant's busy schedules, but group rides are offered where members of similar abilities can train together on rides in the area. Also, during the winter months, members of the club often train indoors together.
