Roller Hockey

Spirit of the Game

The Club Roller Hockey Team provides the opportunity for experienced and passionate roller hockey players to compete at a high level against schools all over the Northeast and other parts of the Nation.

Organizational Meeting(s)

Tryouts are held in the 3rd weekend of September at an inline rink in Pennsylvania. Rides are provided for those who need them.

Typical roster size is around 15 players. Should there be enough interest, we will carry a B team as well. The team is usually all male but females are encouraged to tryout as there are several teams in the league that have girls on their rosters.

Practice Information

Practices are held once a week on Tuesday or Wednesday nights at a rink in Pennsylvania, typically around 10:00pm.

The Club Roller Hockey Team is a member of the Eastern Collegiate Roller Hockey Association (ECRHA) which is one of the 7 member regions within the National Collegiate Roller Hockey Association (NCRHA).

Members are required to attend every practice and tournament possible. The regular season is played over the course of 4 or 5 "tournament" weekends in which about 20 teams from the region go to a rink, usually in PA, and play 3-4 games throughout the weekend. These tournaments begin in October and end with a Regional tournament in March. Nationals are held during mid-April. Dues are usually around $400. New players are required to purchase a home and away jersey ($75 each) and pants ($70).

Equipment Required

The team provides uniforms and pucks. Individual players need helmets with full cages, elbow pads, gloves, shin pads, and skates. Girdles optional.
