Nancy Wick joined the University of Delaware Department of Athletics and Recreation Services in February, 2011 as an administrative assistant. Prior to her start in athletics, she was a part-time office assistant in the Office of the Executive Vice-President.
She moved into the new role of director of Olympic sports operations in April, 2017.
In her previous role, Wick provided primary support to Delaware's director of athletics and senior staff members. Among her various duties were drafting letters, scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, managing daily and long-term calendars, and ensuring that the general day to day office operations ran smoothly.
She began her career in retail as a department manager and assistant buyer with Strawbridge & Clothier and then as a store manager for Victoria's Secret. Before joining UD, she worked for 10 years as a substitute teacher and front desk administrative assistant at MOT Charter School.
A native of King of Prussia, Pa., Wick earned her bachelor's degree in marketing from Bloomsburg (Pa.) University in 1987.
She currently resides in Middletown, Del. with her husband, Bob, and their children, Maxton and Alexa, both of them recent University of Delaware graduates.
Alexa currently serves as assistant director of marketing and promotions for UD athletics.
