NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware volleyball team will look to get back on track this weekend when the Blue Hens head to the College of Charleston and UNCW for a pair of key Colonial Athletic Association matches.

Delaware, which will be looking to snap a three-match losing streak, will take on the Cougars on Friday at 7 p.m. before heading to UNCW for a 1 p.m. contest Sunday against the Seahawks.

The Seahawks are currently in sixth place in the league, a half game in front of Delaware. The top six teams in the league standings qualify for the CAA Tournament, which will take place on November 22-25.

Freshman setter Kali Funk has averaged 7.7 assists per set during the last two weekends, while sophomore Ariel Shonk is second in the conference and sixth in Division I with 5.65 digs per set.

The Cougars enter Friday’s contest riding an eight-match winning streak, dropping only six sets during that stretch. The College of Charleston leads the league with a .257 hitting percentage, 13.95 kills per set and 13.04 assists per set, all of which rank them among the top 40 nationally. Kerstin Koehler is pacing the CAA with a .344 hitting percentage, while Cara Howley is second at .333 and Sloane White ranks third with a .319 percentage.

Darcy Dorton is third in the league with 3.36 kills per set for the Cougars, while Andi Zbojniewicz ranks sixth by averaging 3.46 digs per set.

The Seahawks had a two-match winning streak snapped with a 3-0 loss at CofC last Saturday, and begin a four-match homestand this weekend. UNCW has been particularly adept at the net, leading the CAA and ranking 20th nationally with 2.76 blocks per set. Christi Laite paces the Seahawks attack with 3.22 kills per set and a .262 hitting percentage, while Meredith Peacock and Courtney Porter rank first and third in the CAA respectively in blocks per set.

This weekend’s contests are the Blue Hens’ final road matches of the regular season, as Delaware will conclude its campaign with three consecutive matches at the Bob Carpenter Center. UD will host Towson on Nov. 10 at 7 p.m., UNCW on Nov. 15 at 4:30 p.m., and the College of Charleston on Nov. 16 at 7 p.m.
