Enjoyed an outstanding season as a redshirt freshman • earned Freshman All-American honors by Collegiate Baseball and was a member of the Colonial Athletic Association All-Rookie Team • named team's Max Orland Rookie of the Year • played and started in all but one game, logging time in 49 contests • ranked No. 6 among team regulars with a .281 batting average with 52 hits in 185 at bats • led team with 35 RBI, tied for team lead with five home runs, and also scored 33 runs • also led team with five sacrifice flies and was third with 20 walks • had 14 multiple-hit games with a season-high three five times • tied for team lead with nine multiple-RBI games with a season-high four RBI in 17-14 win over William & Mary (Apr. 25) when he went 3 for 5 with a double • went 6 for 12 with five RBI in William & Mary series • had an 11-game hitting streak at one point in season.

Diaz Francis “Oz” Nardo • son of Dino and Nanci • born on Oct. 12, 1994 • third of four children • brother, Dino, played golf at nearby NCAA III Wilmington (Del.) University • father is owner of Sundew Painting, Inc. • health behavior science and history double major at Delaware • aspires to become a professional baseball player and is studying to become a health & wellness specialist.
