Team tri-captain for second straight season in 2017 • talented midfielder who has been derailed by injuries the last two seasons • suffered season-ending injury in season opener vs. Bucknell in 2016 and suffered a second season-ending injury in pre-season drills this past fall • has played in 32 career games with 26 starts at Delaware • team's active career leader in assists (24) and No. 2 in points (46) and goals (22) • also has 72 groundballs and 12 caused turnovers.

Did not appear in any games after suffering a season-ending injury in preseason drills. 

2016 SEASON (Game by Game)
Was set for an outstanding junior season before suffering year-ending injury in season opener vs. Bucknell • started game and had three groundballs but did not score before injury • was selected to preseason All-Colonial Athletic Association team by Face-Off Yearbook and by CAA coaches • named to CAA Academic Honor Roll.

2015 SEASON (Game by Game)
One of only two players on squad to start all 15 games • first-line midfielder who recorded 15 goals and 11 assists for a total of 26 points • fourth on team in goals, points, and shots (63) and third in assists • had three multiple-goal games with a season-high four in season-ending win over Massachusetts, including the game-winner with 41 seconds left to play • also had three goals vs. Binghamton (one man-up) and two against Fairfield • had season-high three assists in win over Manhattan • season-high seven shots in opener vs. High Point • led team with 44 groundballs and added six caused turnovers • had three or more groundballs 11 times with season-high five vs. Mt. 2014 SEASON (Game by Game)
Enjoyed an outstanding collegiate debut as a freshman midfielder • played in all 16 games and started seven games • team's fifth leading scorer with 20 points on seven goals and 13 assists • recorded 26 groundballs and caused six turnovers • had season-high four points three times vs. Mt. St. Mary's, Villanova, and regular season game vs. Hofsra • had season-high two goals vs. Mt. St. Mary's • season-high four groundballs vs. Mt. St. Mary's and Saint Joseph's • two caused turnovers vs. Binghamton • CAA Academic Honor Roll.

Enjoyed outstanding career at Concord Carlisle High School followed by one post-graduate year at Deerfield (Mass.) Academy • played four years of varsity lacrosse at Concord Carlisle for head coach Tom Dalicandro and was captain of eam that went 22-0 and won the state title his senior year • earned All-State honors and led team to No. 6 national ranking • scored 53 points as a senior and had 92 points for his career • also played four years of ice hockey where was captain as a senior and led teams to two state semifinal appearances • three-year varsity performer in football as a wide receiver and safety • team went 13-0 and won the state title his senior year • played one lacrosse season at Deerfield in 2013 for head coach Chip Davis and led team to 14-1 record and the New England championship • scored 24 points and earned first team All-New England honors and earned Rhodes Cup as team MVP • also played football at Deerfield.

John Bernard "Jackson" Finigan III • born Oct. 1, 1993 • son of Jack and Teri Finigan • youngest of six children • honor student as a finance major at Delaware • has worked as a caddy at the Concord Country Club, served in internship with Fidelity Investments, and taught youth lacrosse over the summer months • enjoys running, football, hockey, and golfing in his spare time • plays the piano • favorites pro teams are the New England Patriots (NFL) and Boston Bruins (NHL) • father played golf and ice hockey at Babson College.
