Second-year member of the squad as a sophomore • much-improved player who is expected to have larger role on UD defensive unit this spring and battle to take over starting spot vacated by graduation of Trip Ashley • has outstanding size at 6-3 and 205 lbs. and great skills.

2015 SEASON (Game by Game)

Played in twelve games while starting four of them against High Point, Bucknell, Mount St. Mary's, and Rutgers • recorded ten groundballs and three caused turnovers

2014 SEASON (Game by Game)
Played in just one game as a freshman • saw action in a backup role in 15-5 win over Mt. St. Mary's and recorded a groundball.

Enjoyed outstanding three-sport careers in lacrosse, football, and basketball at both Bishop Hendricken High School and post-graduate season at Westminster School (Simsbury, Conn.) • starter and an all-conference selection in all three sports at Bishop Hendricken • wide receiver who was a three-year starter and led Hendricken to 12-0 record and state championship for head coach Keith Croft in 2011 • three-year starter at small forward in basketball for head coach Jamal Gomes • led team to state titles in 2009 and 2010 • was team's leading scorer and rebounder as a junior • All-American in men's lacrosse for head coach Kevin Murray • led team to 9-5 record and state title in 2011 • at Westminster, played lacrosse and basketball for coach Peter Newman and football for coach Lee Huguley • led lacrosse team to 10-4 record and Founders Cup title in 2013 • second team all-league choice in 2013 when he scooped up 101 groundballs and was named team MVP.

Timothy Patrick "Tim" Lyons • born Dec. 7, 1993 • son of Patrick and Tammy Lyons • has four sisters • environmental studies major at Delaware with a minor in marine studies • worked at Ninigret Oyster Farm during the summer • career plans are to run an aquaculture farm • mother is a reading specialist and a graduate of Rhode Island • father runs a business and is a San Diego State graduate • father played club lacrosse at San Diego State and became the first player west of the Mississippi River to play in the North-South Game his senior year in 1984 • father also played on a California club team that participated in a pre-Olympic World Games event in 1984 • enjoys the beach and wakeboarding in his spare time • fans of Boston pro teams New England Patriots (NFL), Boston Bruins (NHL), and Boston Red Sox (MLB) • team representative to Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) in 2015-16.
