NEW YORK -- The University of Delaware men’s basketball team, which is currently riding an eight-game winning streak, moved into the Mid-Major Top 25 Poll this week as the Blue Hens are ranked No. 23 in the poll.

Delaware, which received 67 points, is the only Colonial Athletic Association team ranked in the poll.

The Blue Hens have won all eight games during the month of January, and currently lead the CAA with a perfect 6-0 conference mark. Delaware has opened league play with six consecutive wins for just the third time in school history, and the first since the 1991-92 squad went a perfect 14-0 in the North Atlantic Conference.

Delaware has won six consecutive home games, all by seven points or more, and has also claimed its last three road contests, all in the CAA.

The Blue Hens, one of 17 teams in Division I with at least six conference wins and zero losses, return to action on Wednesday with a 7 p.m. game at William & Mary. Mid-Major Top 25 Poll (Jan. 27)
