NEW YORK -- The University of Delaware men’s basketball team, currently riding an 11-game winning streak,jumped seven spots to No. 16 in this week’s Mid-Major Top 25 Poll.

Delaware, which entered the poll last week in the No. 23 spot, received 292 in this week’s poll.

The Blue Hens are 17-7 on the season, and lead the Colonial Athletic Association with a perfect 9-0 league mark. Delaware is currently one of 11 teams in Division I undefeated in conference play.

The Blue Hens have won 11 consecutive games, the third longest winning streak in school history, while their winning streak is tied for the ninth longest active streak in the nation. 

Delaware’s 9-0 start to CAA play is the second best conference start in school history, while the Blue Hens have also captured eight consecutive home games.

The Blue Hens, coming off Monday’s 80-67 victory over Northeastern at the Bob Carpenter Center, remain home on Wednesday to host league newcomer College of Charleston at 7 p.m. Mid-Major Top 25 Poll (Feb. 3)
