NEWARK, Del. -- The winter storm that has dropped nearly 10 inches of snow on New Castle County has forced the postponement of tonight’s University of Delaware women’s basketball home game vs. the College of Charleston.

The Colonial Athletic Association contest will now be played tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 14, at 3 p.m. at the Bob Carpenter Center. The start time will accommodate the travel needs of College of Charleston, which will now be forced to bus home following the game and will host Hofstra Sunday afternoon.

All tickets for tonight’s game will be honored on Friday. Patrons unable to attend Friday’s game may exchange their tickets for one of two future women’s games - Feb. 16 vs. Towson at 2 pm. or Feb. 20 vs. league-leading James Madison at 7 p.m. Please contact the Delaware Ticket Office at for further information.

Great tickets still remain for Friday and can be purchased at the door 90 minutes before tip.

The Future Hens Club event which was scheduled for tonight will also be held on Friday.

The game features two of the top teams in the CAA as two-time defending CAA champion Delaware (14-6, 6-3 CAA) is currently tied for second in the league standings while the Cougars (12-11, 5-5 CAA) are tied for fourth place. The Blue Hens are one of the CAA’s hottest teams with a current three-game win streak.
