CENTREVILLE, Mass. -- University of Delaware junior guard Jarvis Threatt was named the Corvais ECAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the Division I South Region on Tuesday, after leading the Blue Hens to the CAA Tournament championship last weekend.

Threatt, a native of Richmond, Va. (Highland Springs), earned the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player award after averaging a team-high 19.7 points to go with 7.0 rebounds, 13 assists and eight steals during the Blue Hens’ three victories.

Threatt went 20 of 31 from the field for a 64.5 shooting percentage and also was 19 of 25 from the foul line, while playing 113 of a possible 120 minutes at the championship.

Threatt scored 22 points during Saturday’s 87-76 win over Hofstra in the quarterfinals, going 8 of 13 from the field while leading the team with four assists and making three steals. He then posted his second double-double of the year with 19 points and a season-high 11 rebounds to lead Delaware past Northeastern, 87-74, during the semifinals on Sunday. He led the Blue Hens with four steals and handed out five assists vs. the Huskies, finishing 5 of 7 from the floor and 9 of 10 from the foul line.

Threatt played all 40 minutes during Monday’s 75-74 triumph over William & Mary in the title game, finishing with 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists. He went 7 of 11 from the field and 4 of 5 from the foul line, and converted a key three-point play with 51 seconds remaining to bring Delaware within a point.

Threatt currently leads the Blue Hens with 139 assists and 63 steals this season, while ranking third on the team with 18.1 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.
