NEWARK, Del. --  University of Delaware men’s lacrosse asks all fans to join them during this Sunday’s game vs. Ohio State as we celebrate Armed Forces Day at Delaware Stadium.
The Blue Hens (6-5) will host Ohio State (3-6) beginning at 12 noon. In addition to exciting NCAA Division I men’s lacrosse action, a full slate of activities are scheduled.
Armed Forces Day allows all fans the chance to honor those who are currently serving and who have served our country. All current armed forces members and veterans are invited to “high-five” the team pregame and be recognized on the field.  Military personnel and veterans can register online for the event by Friday by clicking here.
Tickets are just $1 for those who show a military ID, in advance or on gameday.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early to view different military vehicles from the Delaware Army National Guard, while patriotic spirit buttons will be given out to the first 500 fans in attendance. In addition, the ROTC Color Guard will present colors as part of the playing of the national anthem.
Fans will also have the opportunity to sign a banner as they enter the venue that will be sent to military personnel overseas.
In addition to Armed Forces Day, Delaware will also honor the 1984 Blue Hens team that earned the first NCAA Tournament bid in UD history at halftime. Nearly 30 team members are expected to return for the 30-year reunion weekend.
