Standout two-way lineman and long snapper at nearby Caravel Academy where he played for head coach and his father, John Reed • served as team captain as a senior • led Caravel to 8-4 record and berth in state semifinals in 2016 • team went 7-4 and advanced to state tournament in 2014 • team advanced to state semifinals in 2013 • earned second team All-State honors at center as a senior in 2016 when he also was selected All-Blue Hen Conference in center and defensive end • first team All-Blue Hen Conference at offensive guard as a junior in 2015 • as a senior defensive lineman, registered 60 tackles, including eight sacks, and had a forced fumble and fumble recovery • rated as a four-star long snapper by one website • honor roll all four years.
