LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Delaware men’s tennis team opened fall action this past weekend with play at the Bucknell Fall Invite.
Blaise Casselbury (Lititz, Pa./Lancaster Country Day School) led the way with two wins in Flight 3 singles. Casselbury first defeated Howard’s Sagar Raju, 6-0,6-3, before cruising to the 6-0, 6-0 victory over Mason Keel (Lafayette). The junior’s weekend ended with a tight 7-5, 2-6, 10-3 loss to Bucknell’s Max Garramone in the semifinals.
On the doubles side, Delaware posted a record of 2-2. In Flight 1 action, sophomore Laurenz Lankes (Cologne, Germany) and graduate student Dustin Britton (North Plymouth, Minn./Wazyata) trounced Lafayette, 6-0, before falling in semifinals play to Hofstra.
In Flight 2 doubles, Casselbury paired with senior Colin Wong (Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia/SMK Kota Kemuning) for the 6-3 win against Howard while dropping the semifinals match to Bucknell.

“This weekend was a good start to our fall season as we played a lot of matches. Both of our doubles teams looked good for their first times out there. In singles play, we lost early, but competed well.”
