PRINCETON, N.J. – Blue Hen sophomore Ariane Klotz tied for sixth place while the University of Delaware women’s golf team finished seventh this weekend at the Princeton Invitational.

The Blue Hens carded a 310 team score during Sunday’s final round, placing seventh out of 10 squads with a 930 three-round total. Georgetown was the team champion with a 905 score, while Harvard placed second at 919 and Rollins was third at 920.

Klotz fired a four over par 76 during her final round on the par 72, 6,100-yard Springdale Golf Course, tying for sixth place in the standings with a 10 over par 78-72-76-226. She has now finished among the top seven individuals in all three of Delaware’s tournaments this fall.

Ashley Dingman also shot a 76 on Sunday and finished in 15th place with a 13 over par 77-76-76-229, while Valentina Mueller tied for 37th place with a 21 over par 82-78-77-237.

Josefina Fernandez-Davila tied for 46th place with a 25 over par 80-80-81-241, while Isabella Rimton finished in 50th place with a 28 over par 80-79-85-244. Playing as an individual, Kylie Greulich finished in 61st place with a 37 over par 86-86-81-253.

Jacquelyn Eleey of Georgetown posted a commanding eight-shot victory by finishing the invitational at three under par.

Delaware is back in action next weekend as the Blue Hens will compete in the Yale Intercollegiate at the Yale Golf Course in New Haven, Conn. on Oct. 6-8.
