GAME PREVIEW: Blue Hens Head to Long Island to Take on CAA Co-Leader Stony Brook

STONY BROOK, N.Y. -- The Blue Hens will embark on their first Colonial Athletic Association road trip of the season this Saturday when Delaware makes its first-ever visit to Stony Brook to take on the Seawolves at 6 p.m. at LaValle Stadium.

#rv Delaware (2-2, 0-1 CAA), coming off a tough 20-10 setback at home to No. 1 ranked and defending national champion James Madison last Saturday, will be looking for its first league win of the season and attempting to avenge last year’s 28-3 loss to Stony Brook in the first-ever meeting between the two schools.

No. 23/24 Stony Brook (4-1, 3-0 CAA), which was picked No. 8 in the CAA preseason coaches poll, has been an early surprise in the league and enters tied atop the league standings with James Madison, New Hampshire, and Elon. The Seawolves, who won their fourth straight game last Saturday with a 21-18 triumph over William & Mary in Williamsburg, Va., could match their win total from all of last season with a victory over Delaware.

The Blue Hens will be looking to snap a two-game road losing streak that dates back to last season while SBU looks to extend its home winning streak to three games. Delaware is just 3-7 in its last 10 CAA road games since 2014 while Stony Brook is 5-5 in CAA home games over that span.
