REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – The Blue Hen women’s golf team sits in fourth place while Ashley Dingman is tied for second following Saturday’s opening two rounds at the Delaware Invitational.

Delaware carded team rounds of 308 and 300 on Saturday, finishing the day in fourth place out of nine squads with a 608 score. Harvard and 42nd-ranked Penn State are tied for the lead at 600, followed by James Madison at 607 and the Blue Hens.

Dingman carded a pair of one over par 73 rounds on the par 72, 6,180-yard course at Rehoboth Beach Country Club, ending the day tied for second place in the individual standings with a two over par 73-73-146. Belinda Hu of Harvard holds the lead at one under par, while Dingman and Alix Lowe of Towson are each three shots back.

Freshman Thitaree Sakulbunpanich made her Blue Hen debut on Saturday, ending the day tied for fifth place with a four over par 76-72-148. Valentina Mueller carded a 10 over par 78-76-154 and is tied for 14th place, while Kylie Greulich fired a 12 over par 76-80-156 to finish the day tied for 21st place.

Ariane Klotz is tied for 35th place with a 16 over par 81-79-160, while Josefina Fernandez-Davila shot a 23 over par 84-83-167 and is tied for 49th place.

Aashaka Desai resides in 53rd place with a 26 over par 87-83-170, while Siena Ferrick is 59th after carding a 49 over par 96-97-193.

The final round of the tournament will begin at 8 a.m. on Sunday.
