LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Blue Hens concluded the fall portion of their schedule Saturday with four matches at the ITA Atlantic Regional, hosted by Liberty University at the Cook Tennis Center and Hershey-Esbenshade Tennis Courts.
In the doubles bracket, graduate student Dustin Britton (North Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata) and sophomore Curran Verma (Gaithersburg, Md./Laurel Springs) came up just short to Virginia’s Ammar Alhogbani and Jefferson Dockter, 8-6.
Freshman Justice Jones (Laurel, Md./JTCC Academy) nearly pulled out his singles consolation draw matchup against James Madison’s Tate Steinour, 4-6, 6-2, 10-5.
Also in the singles consolation draw, Britton fell to Liberty’s Diego Castano, 7-6 (2), 6-3 while sophomore Laurenz Lankes (Cologne, Germany) dropped the 6-3, 6-2 match to William & Mary’s Michael Chen.
