POWELLS POINT, N.C. – The University of Delaware men’s golf team fired a 293 score on Monday and is tied for sixth place following the second day of the Old Dominion Outer Banks Intercollegiate.

The Blue Hens, who carded a 282 on Sunday, are one of four teams tied for sixth out of 18 squads with a 575 total. Campbell leads the team standings with a 540 score, while Ball State is second at 559.

UD senior Kieran Purcell recorded a one under par 70 during his second round on the par 71, 6,502-yard Kilmarlic Golf Course, ending the day tied for ninth place with a three under par 69-70-139.

Jack Gianniny is tied for 23rd place with a one over par 67-76-143, while Blaine Lafferty has fired a two over par 69-75-144 and is tied for 28th place.

Jack Melville is tied for 62nd place with a seven over par 77-72-149, while Christian Chapman sits in 86th place with a 13 over par 79-76-155.

Ray Kravivixien of Campbell holds the lead at nine under par, while Chad Hess of Old Dominion sits at eight under.

The final round of the tournament is scheduled to begin on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.
