BOSTON, Mass. -- The University of Delaware volleyball team saw its two-match winning streak come to an end as the Blue Hens dropped a three-set decision to Northeastern Friday night at Cabot Gym.

The Huskies, who snapped a two-match losing streak, captured the match by set scores of 25-21, 25-21, 21-18 to improve to 16-8 overall and 9-2 in the Colonial Athletic Association. Delaware, which was coming off home wins over William & Mary and Elon last weekend, fell to 5-16 overall and 3-8 in league play.

UD junior Brooke Robertson led the Blue Hens with seven kills and added six digs, while current CAA Rookie of the Week Courtnie Roberts added 10 assists, seven digs and five kills.

Maria Bellinger contributed six kills and six digs, Abby Skryd chipped in 13 assists and six digs, and Maddie Judge made seven digs on the night.

Amy Underdown paced Northeastern with 13 kills and 13 digs, while Kristen Walding handed out 27 assists.

Delaware won six of seven points late in the first set to pull within 22-21, but the Huskies answered with a three-point run of their own to take the early lead. The Blue Hens held an 11-6 advantage in the second frame, and the teams were knotted at 19 apiece before Northeastern won the next four points to pull away. NU then used a five-point spurt to surge ahead 12-6 in the third stanza and never trailed from there.
