LANCASTER, Pa. -- The University of Delaware men’s and women’s swimming programs are currently in first place after the first six events of the Franklin & Marshall Invitational at Kunkel Aquatic Center.

The Blue Hen men have a meet-best 291 points while the women have compiled a total of 258 points after Friday’s opening day of the three-day competition.

Day one highlights for Delaware included CAA Male Swimmer of the Week Kevin Basch winning the 1,650 freestyle (15:40.81) and Gabby Acker winning the female heat of the 1,650 freestyle (17:16.55). The Delaware women’s 200 freestyle relay team (1:36.73) also finished first Friday afternoon.

Day two finals begin Saturday night at 6 p.m. with the women’s 50 free finals. Live results are available for the entire weekend's action.
