PRINCETON, N.J. – Delaware fought until the very end, but Princeton came up with the 78-60 victory over the Blue Hens Saturday evening at Jadwin Gymnasium.

Sophomore Samone DeFreese added 15 points and eight rebounds while classmate Abby Gonzales notched 11 points, four rebounds and three steals.

Tia Weledji guided the Tigers (4-2) with 22 points while Leslie Robinson logged a double double of 14 points and 10 rebounds.

POST-GAME QUOTES
Head Coach Natasha Adair
“This is a team that doesn’t quit, but when we cut into the deficit, we needed to be more focused and disciplined for whatever the current possession is. This was a very tough Princeton opponent and we fought and executed, but we didn’t finish plays. We respect our opponent, but there were things that impacted this game that had nothing to do with who we were playing. There were plays that we should’ve finished, but as a coaching staff, we can fix the technical side. I’m most proud of the mindset of this team and how we didn’t quit.”
