BOSTON, Mass. – The Blue Hens were unable to hold on to an early lead in Sunday afternoon’s 73-59 loss to Northeastern at the Cabot Center.
Delaware (13-8, 6-4 CAA) led by as much as six in the second quarter, but the Huskies (12-10, 7-4) combined a 54.0 shooting percentage from the field and a plus-15 rebounding margin to take sweep the regular season series.
Sophomore Bailey Kargo guided the Hens with 18 points while junior Nicole Enabosi registered 10 points and seven rebounds.
NU saw four players in double figure scoring and was led by Gabby Giacone’s double double for 13 points and 11 rebounds.

“This is a disappointing loss, but Northeastern is a tough team, especially on their home court. You can’t take possessions off in this league and today we didn’t sustain for an entire 40 minutes.”
   ·   The Huskies outrebounded the Hens, 39-24.
   ·   Delaware’s 24 rebounds were the fewest for the Blue Hens since January 2015.
   ·   Nicole Enabosi has 98 career-blocked shots.
   ·   Northeastern swept the regular season series against Delaware for the first time since 1998 when the Huskies put up two wins in America East action.
