CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. -- The University of Delaware men's and women's swimming and diving programs concluded the 2018 Colonial Athletic Association from Christiansburg Aquatic Center Saturday Evening.

Final night highlights included distance swimmer Kevin Basch finishing second (15:32.18) in the men's 1,650 freestyle, senior Patrick Savidge finished fourth (2:01.58) in the men's 200 breaststroke, and junior Gabby Acker finished eighth in the women's 1,650 free (17:06.01).

Other night four top 10 finishes included Bryce Ciecko finishing seventh in the men's 1,650 free (16:02.77), Asher Kiely finishing 10th in the men's 200 backstroke (1:50.54), and junior Mina Feyrer finishing fourth in the women's 200 butterfly (2:01.39), breaking her own school record in the event. 

For the championship, a pair of Blue Hens earned medals as freshman Jacob Lukens (third place in men's 1-meter diving) and Basch (silver in men's 1,650 free silver) will return to Newark with hardware.

William & Mary took home the men’s team title for the fourth consecutive season while James Madison finished first on the women’s side for the first time since 2012. Northeastern swimmer Megan Clark was named Most Outstanding Women’s Swimmer of the Meet while James Madison’s Hope Byrum was named Most Outstanding Female Diver. Dane Pedersen of JMU was named Women’s Swimming Coach of the Year.

On the men’s side Jack Saunderson of Towson was named Most Outstanding Men’s Swimmer while Anthony Musciano was named Most Outstanding Men’s Diver. The Men’s Diving Coach of the Year award went to Emily Howard (Drexel) while Men’s Swimming Coach of the Year was shared by William & Mary's Matt Crispino and Drexel’s Adam Bruan.
