ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Delaware snapped a three-match winning streak Saturday with a 6-1 loss to Navy at the Tose Family Tennis Center.

Brooke Pilkington (Virginia Beach, Va./Cape Henry Collegiate) was the lone Blue Hen to notch a singles victory against the Mids. The sophomore logged her fifth straight win with a hard-fought come-from-behind, 4-6, 7-5, 10-6 top-flight decision versus Amanda Keller.

In No. 1 doubles play, Pilkington paired with junior Sara Komer (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) to defeat Keller and Kayla Hodge, 6-3. The win marked the sixth consecutive for the duo.

With the loss, UD falls to 3-4 on the year while Navy improves to 10-4 overall.

POST-MATCH QUOTES
Head coach Laura Travis
“It always stings to lose. We picked things up after a slow start in both doubles and singles. Credit goes to Navy, who played aggressively and with few unforced errors.”
