MESA, Ariz. – Blue Hen freshman Thitaree Sakulbunpanich is tied for sixth place while the University of Delaware women’s golf team is seventh following Friday’s opening round at the Clover Cup.

Delaware posted a 301 team score on Friday, finishing the day in seventh place out of 16 squads. Ohio State leads the way with a 286 score, followed by Arizona State at 287 and Oklahoma at 291.

Sakulbunpanich carded a one under par 71 on the par 72, 6,184-yard Longbow Golf Club course to end the day tied for sixth in the individual standings. Ariane Klotz is tied for 13th place with a one over par 73, while Valentina Mueller is tied for 21st place with a two over par 74.

Isabella Rimton is tied for 75th place with an 11 over par 83, while Ashley Dingman sits in 80th place with a 12 over par 84.|

Nikolette Schroeder of Ohio State fired a five under par 67 and holds a two-shot lead. The second round of the three-round invitational will begin at 8 a.m. Pacific Time on Saturday.
