MESA, Ariz. – The University of Delaware women’s golf team finished in eighth place out of 16 teams this weekend at the Clover Cup.

The Blue Hens carded a 306 score during Sunday’s final round, finishing with a three-round total of 907. Oklahoma captured the team title with an 871 score, while Arizona State finished second at 873.

Ariane Klotz fired a three over par 75 during her final round on the par 72, 6,184-yard Longbow Golf Club course, tying for 13th place with a five over par 73-73-75-221. Valentina Mueller enjoyed the lowest round of the day by a Blue Hen with a two over par 74, as she tied for 25th place at 74-76-74-224, eight over par.

Thitaree Sakulbunpanich tied for 32nd place with a 10 over par 71-80-75-226, while Ashley Dingman carded a 25 over par 84-75-82-241 to tie for 69th place. Isabella Rimton recorded a 30 over par 83-76-87-246 as she tied for 74th place at the invitational.

Julienne Soo of Oklahoma was the tournament medalist by finishing at five under par, while Jaclyn Lee of Ohio State was one shot back.

Delaware returns to action on Mar. 26-27 when the Blue Hens compete in the Henssler Intercollegiate at Pinetree Country Club in Kennesaw, Ga.
