KENNESAW, Ga. – The University of Delaware women’s golf team finished in eighth place this week at the Henssler Intercollegiate.

After carding rounds of 318 and 298 on Monday, the Blue Hens fired a 313 on Tuesday to finish eighth out of 11 teams with a 929 total. No. 19 Kent State captured the title with an 873 score, while 40th-ranked Ole Miss placed second at 880 and No. 43 Kennesaw State was third at 884.

UD freshman Thitaree Sakulbunpanich shot a three over par 75 during her final round on the par 72, 6,032-yard Pinetree Country Club course, tying for 16th place in the individual standings with an eight over par 74-75-75-224.

Ariane Klotz carded a four over par 76 on Tuesday, as she tied for 21st place at 81-69-76-226, 10 over par. Ashley Dingman tied for 48th place at the invitational with a 27 over par 81-82-80-243, while Isabella Rimton fired a 28 over par 86-76-82-244 to finish in 51st place.

Valentina Mueller tied for 52nd place with a 29 over par 82-78-85-245 while Aashaka Desai, playing as an individual, finished in 60th place with a 52 over par 89-89-90-268.

Pimnipa Panthong of Kent State was the tournament medalist as she posted a four-shot victory with a six under par 68-73-69-210.

Delaware returns to action on Wednesday and Thursday with a dual match against North Florida in Jacksonville, Fla.
