MERION STATION, Pa. – The University of Delaware softball team dropped a non-conference doubleheader at Saint Joseph's, 4-2 and 6-2, Wednesday afternoon at the SJU Softball Field.

Delaware (7-20) got on the board in the top of the sixth as Mattie Nuccio walked, moved to third on a double by Anna Steinmetz, and scored on an RBI groundout by Mariah Kondravy. Chayanna Gallardo led off the seventh with a double and scored one out later on a groundout by Ali Davis to bring the Blue Hens within two, but UD would not get closer.
