SOUTHPORT, N.C. – The University of Delaware women’s golf team finished in second place while sophomore Ariane Klotz tied for second as the Blue Hens concluded their 2017-18 season this weekend at the CAA Championship.

The College of Charleston claimed the team title with a 910 three-round score, while the two-time defending champion Blue Hens placed second out of nine squads with a 920 score.

Klotz tied for second place in the individual standings by carding an eight over par 74-75-75-224 on the par 72, 6,066-yard Reserve Club course at St. James Plantation, earning CAA All-Tournament Team honors. Klotz and Charleston’s Victoria Huskey finished one shot behind UNCW’s Lyberty Anderson, who finished at seven over par to win her second straight CAA individual title.

Thitaree Sakulbunpanich finished in ninth place at the tournament with a 14 over par 74-78-78-230, while Ashley Dingman fired a 17 over par 77-79-77-233 to finish in 13th place.

Valentina Mueller tied for 19th place with a 23 over par 80-74-85-239, while Isabella Rimton shot a 32 over par 89-80-79-248 to tie for 32nd place.

Delaware, which finished among the top three teams at the CAA Championship for the fifth year in a row, posted its sixth top three finish of the season.
