RICHMOND, Va. – Time to start piling up all the puns about it getting hot in the kitchen.

Sophomore Charlie Kitchen of the University of Delaware men’s lacrosse is red hot and his latest outing earned him CAA Co-Player of the Week accolades after helping the Blue Hens to a thrilling 10-9 road win at Hofstra.

Kitchen had a career day with five goals and six points, including the game-winner with six minutes left to propel Delaware to the win. He now has four hat tricks this year and seven in his career.

The Marlton, N.J. native has 10 goals and two assists in three CAA games and now has scored a goal in 14 straight games and 25 of 26 career games.

Kitchen and the Blue Hens are back on the road to take on 2017 NCAA Final Four Participant Towson on Saturday. Game time is set for 12 p.m.
