RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Delaware baseball program was well represented on this week’s Colonial Athletic Association baseball honors, as freshman Billy Sullivan IV (New Castle, Del./St. Mark’s HS) earned CAA Pitcher of the Week and Kevin Mohollen (Rose Valley, Pa./Strath-Haven) earned Co-Player of the Week.

Sullivan IV joins Hofstra’s John Rooney as the only two-time CAA Pitcher of Week honoree this season.

A true-freshman from nearby New Castle, Del., Sullivan IV is coming off one of the most dominant starts in program history, as the righty struck out a career-high 16 batters in his seven shutout innings. He allowed just three hits (two infield singles and a single to right) and didn’t allow a baserunner to advance past first. The righty struck out six consecutive batters at one point and lowed his season to date ERA to 1.99.

The first CAA Player of the Week honoree for Delaware this season, Mohollen was an on-base machine this week. The junior hit .583 (7-12) for the week with three doubles and six runs scored. The leadoff hitter reached base 14 times for the week, including in all six of his at-bats in Wednesday’s 15-7 Liberty Bell Classic victory over Lehigh. Mohollen finished the week with an on-base percentage of .737 due in large part to his six walks drawn.

Delaware kicks off a five-game week tomorrow night against Lafayette College. First pitch of the Liberty Bell Classic Finals is scheduled for 7 p.m. from Citizens Bank Park.
