RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Delaware men’s tennis squad learned its fate Monday for the upcoming Colonial Athletic Association Championships, which will be held April 20-22 at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center on the campus of Elon University.

The Blue Hens received the No. 8 seed and will take on top-seeded William & Mary at 9 a.m. Friday in quarterfinals action. With a win, Delaware would advance to play either No. 4 James Madison or No. 5 Drexel in Saturday’s 10 a.m. semifinal contest. The CAA men’s championship match is set for 10 a.m. Sunday.

UD is currently 16-7 on the year with two regular season matches against Morgan State and Hampton remaining. The Hens 16 wins is the second-most in program history.

Admission is free to all three days of the tournament, with the champion earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
