FAIRFAX STATION, Va. – The University of Delaware rowing squad represented the Colonial Athletic Association well Sunday afternoon at the Mason Invitational as three UD boats made the "A" finals.

The Delaware First Varsity Eights kicked the day off by winning the CAA heat with a time of 6:47.30, advancing to the ‘A’ final against Kansas (Big 12 Conference) and George Washington (Atlantic 10 Conference). In the finals, the Blue Hens finished third (6:47.51).

Other ‘A’ final qualifiers included the Blue Hens' First Varsity Eights (7:57.50) and the Third Varsity Eights(7:08.40). In the finals, the First Varsity Fours (7:42.94) finished third while the Third Varsity Eights finished second (7:42.94).

Delaware’s Second Varsity Eights also competed, finishing third (4:47.51), while the Blue Hens' Second Varsity Fours finished first in the ‘B’ finals (7:59.00).

The Blue Hens will take the next two weekends off to prepare for the prestigious Dad Vail Regatta (May 11-12) and the 2018 CAA Championships (May 13).
