Two teams looking to bounce back from decisive setbacks to NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision opponents will square off this Saturday at Delaware Stadium as the University of Delaware returns home to host Wagner in the first-ever meeting between the two teams.

It will be Band Day at Delaware Stadium with over 400 high school band member from nearly 20 high schools performing at halftime and at the end of the game. This Saturday will also mark Class of 2017 Day and Freshman Family Weekend with UD honoring this year’s incoming freshman class with a pre-game reception.

Delaware (2-1) suffered its first setback of the season last Saturday as the Hens ran into the potent offensive attack of Navy (2-0) and dropped a 51-7 decision at Navy-Marine Corps. The 51 points was the most allowed by the Hens since the 2007 season.

Wagner (1-2), a 2012 NCAA Tournament which opened its season with a win at Georgetown, looks to snap a two-game losing streak after successive setbacks to NCAA Division II Merrimack (42-41) and at Syracuse (54-0) this past week.

Dave Brock (Salisbury State ‘94) - 2-1 all-time at Delaware and overall (1st season)...2-0 all-time at Delaware Stadium...first meeting vs. Wagner...named the 22nd head coach in Delaware football history on Jan. 18, 2013...just the fifth Delaware head coach since the 1940 season...native of Moorestown, N.J. and a veteran of 22 collegiate seasons as an assistant coach...came to Delaware after serving one season as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach under coach Kyle Flood at Rutgers where team posted a 9-4 record, won a share of the Big East title, and advanced to the Russell Athletic Bowl...has also coached at Boston College, Kansas State, North Carolina, Temple, Hofstra, Salisbury State, and Western Connecticut State...played linebacker at Ferrum (Va.) College before earning degree from Salisbury (Md.) State University in 1994...he and wife, Karen, have five children -  Henry, William, Richard, Kate, and Maggie.
