University of Delaware Women’s Golfers Tied For 10th Place Following First Day of 36th Annual FIU Pat Bradley Invitational
LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. -- The University of Delaware women’s golf squad carded a 303 team round on Sunday to end the first day of the 36th Annual Pat Bradley Invitational tied for 10th place out of 17 teams.
The host Panthers lead the field with a 287 score during Sunday’s opening round, while Maryland sits in second place with a 291 score. Daytona State is third at 293, Southern Miss sits in fourth at 294, and Missouri rounds out the top five at 295.
Blue Hen freshman Vitoria Teixeira and junior Andi Slane are each tied for 25th place in the individual standings after each player carded an opening round of two over par 74 on the par 72, 6,275-yard Cypress Links course at Lakewood Ranch. Teixeira fired a 37-37-74 during Sunday’s round, while Slane finished at 35-39-74.
Delaware junior Amanda Terzian is tied for 36th place after her four over par round of 39-37-76, while freshman Grace Chua is tied for 60th place following her seven over par opening round of 41-38-79.
Sophomore Nathalie Filler carded an eight over par 40-40-80 to end the day tied for 67th place while classmate Vimonthip Benjasupawan, playing as an individual, is also tied for 67th place after her eight over par round of 39-41-80.
Taylor Gohn of Missouri leads the individual standings following her five under par 35-32-67, while Brandi Rodriguez of Southern Miss and Coralia Arias of FIU are both two shots behind.
The second round of the three-day invitational begins Monday at 9:30 a.m.
