Blue Hens Return from Bye Week Looking to Continue CAA Momentum at Rhode Island

KINGSTON, R.I.  -- The rejuventated Blue Hens, coming off a bye week that followed a thrilling last-second win the week before, look to keep that momentum going strong as they head north to take on Rhode Island Saturday, Oct. 26, at noon at Meade Stadium in Colonial Athletic Association play.

Delaware (5-2, 2-1 CAA), which has received votes in the national Top 25 polls all season, had a week off from Saturday competition and got an extra week to prepare for a Rhode Island team that posted a 12-10 upset win at home over Richmond this past Saturday.

Prior to the bye week, Delaware used an exciting comeback to post a 33-30 win over CAA newcomer Albany at Delaware Stadium as Sean Baner kicked a 42-yard field goal as time expired. Delaware scored 11 points in the final two minutes to overcome a fourth-quarter deficit.

Rhode Island, which has struggled in the CAA in recent years and has failed to post a winning record every season since 2001.
