University of Delaware volleyball head coach Bonnie Kenny proudly announced the addition of Craig Boller to the Blue Hen staff as an assistant coach in April 2013.

“I am very excited to be at Delaware and working with great coaches,” Boller remarked.  “As soon as I stepped on campus and saw how beautiful it was, I knew I wanted to be a Blue Hen.  With terrific coaches like Bonnie and [associate head coach] Cindy [Gregory], and all that the University of Delaware has to offer, I knew this was a special place.  Delaware will continue to be a top program in the conference and nation.”

Boller comes to Delaware after serving for two seasons as a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Michigan, which made school history as a 2012 Final Four participant.

“We are thrilled to welcome a top up-and-coming coach in Craig Boller,” exclaimed Kenny, who will be in her 12th season with UD during the 2013 campaign.  “Craig was a part of a terrific staff at Michigan and helped take their program to the Final Four this past December.  He has the skill set to help us elevate our program and we look forward to working with him for years to come.”

During his time with the Wolverines, Boller was instrumental with the team’s front-row play and coached AVCA All-American, All-Big Ten selection and single-season block record holder Jennifer Cross, who posted 181 blocks last season.  He also served as the team’s scouting coordinator.

In March, Boller was named an American Volleyball Coaches Association 30 Under 30 honoree, which recognizes up-and-coming coaching talent at all levels of the sport.  Last season, Boller also received the Coaches 4 Coaches scholarship, which is given to coaches who have a bright future in coaching.

In addition to serving as an assistant with Michigan, Boller spent time as the club director and head coach of the A2 Volleyball Club, a junior volleyball program.

Prior to his time with the Wolverines, Boller trained outside hitters and passers as a volunteer assistant at DePaul University.

Boller played collegiately at Lewis University (Romeoville, Ill.), where he was a two-time MIVA Academic All-Conference selection while also earning the Lewis Delahanty Award for academic excellence among student-athletes as a senior.  Boller graduated in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in sport management and 2010 with a master’s in business administration.
