Ticket Operations Coaching Staff

Charley Thrash was named Athletic Ticketing Operations Assistant at the University of Delaware in August, 2012.

A native of Jefferson City, Mo., he will assist Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Operations Trent Bartling in overseeing all aspects of the athletic ticket operations as well as university ticketing.

"We are excited to welcome Charley to Delaware," said Bartling. "He has a tremendous work ethic and has really picked up his new position very quickly. With his past experience, professionalism and his focus on strong customer service he will be a valuable addition to our ticket office staff. He will assist us in continuing to enhance our customer relations and operational efficiency and will play a key role within our organization. We feel very fortunate to have Charley as part of our team. He has shown a tremendous work ethic and has been a key component during our merger of athletic ticketing and university ticketing."

A 2012 graduate of the University of Missouri with a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing, Thrash has experience in both intercollegiate athletics as well as club sports having served as a mentor for the executive leadership of various club sports teams as well as assisting club sports teams with travel arrangements, money allocation and competition specific information.

Thrash also has a background dealing with NCAA compliance issues from his past experience as a compliance intern at the University of South Florida as well as the University of Missouri. Thrash monitored playing and practice logs, scholarship endowments and scholarship renewals, as well as assisting both athletic departments to ensure they were adhering to all NCAA compliance rules and regulations.

“The excitement and buzz around Blue Hens Athletics has been sensational since I have been in Delaware," said Thrash. "I am ecstatic to be a part of the Blue Hens Family and I look forward to grow both as an individual and professionally during my time here in Delaware."

Thrash will be the primary ticket contact for volleyball, field hockey, men’s & women’s lacrosse. He will manage game day staff, reconcile game statements, and serve as the marketing liaison to continue to promote the Delaware brand and drive new sales. He will also have assigned tasks for both football and basketball.

Most recently, Thrash worked for the Kansas City T-Bones Professional Baseball Club selling single game, season, and group ticket packages. He was also responsible for upholding game day hospitality for various groups.

Thrash enjoys playing golf and basketball in his free time. He resides in Newark, Del.
