Kristy Nix joined the University of Delaware Athletics Department in Fall 2013 as the assistant business manager.

Nix previously spent the past two years at Marist College, where she held numerous roles.  Since 2011, Nix was the Director of Intramurals, Club Sports and Camps.  Additionally, she served as a radio color commentator for all Marist women’s basketball games.  Nix also worked as a statistician for men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball matches.  In January 2012, Nix added to her responsibilities as she was named a compliance assistant at Marist.

Furthermore, Nix spent time on the academic side at Marist as she served as an adjunct lecturer for Sports and Society and Human Movement in Sports classes.  She was also the official orientation speaker and advisor for community/special events for the Marist Athletics Department.

Prior to her time at Marist, Nix was an assistant women’s basketball coach (2010-11) and director of women’s basketball operations (2008-2010) at Stony Brook University.  While at SBU, Nix earned a master’s of liberal arts in addition to a graduate coaching certificate.

Nix’s athletics work experiences are not limited to Marist and Stony Brook as she also held positions with the US Open Tennis Center, St. Mary’s Academy, Emerson College, The International Tennis Hall of Fame and Boston Red Sox.

Nix graduated in 2007 from Rhode Island College with a bachelor of science in business operations management.  While there, Nix was a member of both the varsity volleyball and women’s basketball teams.  She holds the single-season and career records for kills and was a MVP, two-time All-Conference and All-Star selection for the volleyball squad.
